Hello!
The staff team in Year 3 are Miss Sherliker and Mrs Graham-Brown.
Year 3 is a fantastic moment in our children’s journey through school. They are at the start of Key Stage 2 and can dig deeper into all the learning that has developed from their time in Key Stage 1 and Early Years. Even more so, at our school, children move ‘upstairs’ and to a new playground. We feel privileged to lead your children through this important year.
On this page you will find a brief overview of our plans for the year, some general reminders and useful websites to support learning at home
Our Class Saints
St Bernadette:
St. Bernadette of Lourdes was a French nun who lived in the 1800s. As a young teenager, she had a series of visions of the Virgin Mary in the Massabielle grotto, ultimately leading to the founding of the shrine of Lourdes. Saint Bernadette is the patron of the ill, poor, sheep tenders and those ridiculed for their piety. Her feast day is 18th February.
St Patrick:
Saint Patrick was a fifth-century Romano-British Christian missionary and
Bishop in Ireland. Known as the “Apostle of Ireland”, he is the primary patron saint of Ireland, the other patron saints being Saint Brigid of Kildare and Saint Columba. Born in Roman Britain, he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave at the age of 16. He later escaped, but returned to Ireland and was credited with bringing Christianity to its people. His feast day is 17th March.
